Workshop Format: This is going to be a fun and supportive two-day workshop! We will deconstruct, interpret, and let go of our references through gesture, value, abstracting our structure, color studies, various underpainting techniques, and mark making.

Each day begins with a demo, and we will then create small studies with different techniques each morning before we dive into a larger painting in the afternoon! There will be new approaches to try, boundaries to push, and plenty of individual instruction as we make scenes our own before ending with a group critique.
Please bring your own photographs with a variety of subject matter (not all the same scene or time of day). A full supply list will be sent to registrants well in advance.
